Ms. Pattison also teaches playwriting to urban youth through the Huntington Theatre and the YMCA. She is a member of the Dramatists Guild. The first staged reading of Memorial was presented at Boston Playwrights’ Theatre. This play is indebted to Sheri Fink’s ProPublica article on Memorial Medical Center, Amy Goodman’s reports on the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and many personal accounts of Katrina survivors, including Marion Martin, as well as countless others who continue rebuilding their lives in the aftermath.
