about provincetown cares
Unfortunately, far too many of us have
been affected by the women in our
lives,(Mothers, Daughters, Sisters,
Friends, Loved ones,) and their fierce
and courageous battle with Breast Cancer
and other life threatening illnesses. It
was out of a desire to honor them and a
deep sense of paying her blessings
forward and doing her part to make a
difference, that Lynn d'Angona, a
resident of Provincetown created this
benefit with the help of some friends,
Unitarian Universalist Meeting House,
Benjamin deRuyter of ART HOUSE, Shawn
Nightingale and Mariellen Serena of The
Pilgrim House-Vixen, Michelle Crone of
Divine Entertainment, Melinda Ancillo of
Melinda Ancillo design and Joseph
Middleton, Casting. It is the
mission of Provincetown Cares: Helping
The Women We Love, to stage a benefit
performance each year during Women’s
Week and National Breast Cancer
Awareness Month as a way to promote
research, education, screening and
treatment for breast cancer as well as
other serious health issues affecting
women. The proceeds will benefit both
local and national organizations
committed to research, education and
treatment services for women in our
communities. |
